We are trying to be optimistic. Our fingers are crossed. We have planned well for what will be a short boating season. We want to travel the pristine waters of Canada, the Trent-Severn Waterway, Georgian Bay, and the North Channel. We think we might be able to cross Lake Ontario, Lake Huron and skirt the western side of Lake Michigan.
Reverie is currently in Rochester, NY, just off Lake Ontario. We cannot get out of Lake Ontario without going through Canada, currently closed to Americans, and now we cannot even travel to New York without the worry of a two week state quarantine!

To our Looper family, continue providing your excellent reports on conditions and projections for the future. The current order for a closed border expires on July 21, but given the rising COVID cases in the US, it may be extended again.
Our “Go/No Go” decision is still about three weeks away, but our optimism is waning.
